| So.....is anyone old enough to vote yet? I will be voting in the next presidential election, but not in the election in November. Thoughts anyone? (On who you want to vote for or anything?) | |

| Yeah, I've voted for the last 2 years now. And always will... despite the problems some people have on FYG with the way I vote. (coughcough) lol
I vote for conservatives... no liberals.

| I think I'll be old enough to vote in the next election by the time that rolls around. I should be almost 19 by that time I believe. | |

| Yeah, conservatives all the way!
I used to consider myself a Republican, but after taking an AP Government and Politics class, I realized that I am more Moderate then strictly Republican or Democratic, which most of the general public is. On the most part I do agree with Republicans (I shook John Thune's hand and talked to hin on Labor Day! lol) but there are some things I can debate on.....more on that later.
Anyways, yeah I'll be 18 in December, then next November, voting time!

| That's all good and well... but where does he stand on the issues? What does he think about abortion, immigration, homeland security, the war in Iraq, etc? Those things are far more important than being "cool and super tall." Just sayin' no offense intended. | |

| Glad ya'll know where he stands on stuff. I was hoping you weren't blindly following him. As I expected both of you went further than 'he's cool and tall.' Good for ya'll. | |

| Yehh, John Thune is like- the most ideal senator out there. He stands for the basic Republican beliefs along with the Christian beliefs... He's such a God-send for our state, as is Governor Rounds. Not sure if anyone is aware of it, but our state was the first to outlaw abortion. Planned Parenthood put up a fight, so now the citizens of South Dakota get to vote on it on November 7. There are several states waiting to see what South Dakota does this November. My mom has dove head first into the right-to-life movements in our county. And YES, there is a loophole, allowing vitims of rape & incest the opporunity to have an abortion, as long as the rape is reported within 72 hours. | |
